Our ancestors who signed the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 would be proud of what we've accomplished for the collective of the RHT Anishinaabek. For over a century, the spirit and intent of what the ancestors provided for us with the Treaty - was ignored by the Crown – until we forced the Crown to honour their promise for annuities augmentation through successes in the court and negotiation for past compensation.  As a result of the successes achieved for past compensation, our communities, as a collective, we have received a share of the benefit from resource developments, extractions and revenues that our ancestors envisioned from the lands and waters of our RHT territory. We stood up for our Treaty rights in our territory and succeeded!  This is our journey as the RHT Anishinaabek - looking at the past, present and future of our people.
